Cedar decks are the most prevailent in the hamptons. #2 Cedar decking may be the least expensive but it is still a beautiful wood. It can be easily maintained with a clear oil, water repellant or a colored stain to prolong the life. You will get approximately 15 years on a well maintained cedar deck.
